José Luis Tapia has dedicated a major part
of his professional career to the development and expansion of the
busineses of major companies, especially publishing companies, into
the multimedia environment.
Economist by training and vocation, he has participated in the development
and expansion of IP Multimedia (the mother company of Telepolis.com,
one of the most popular Spanish portals) and, previously, of the Grupo
Anaya where, as Managing Director, he was responsible for the strategic
development of the company with the acquisition and constitution of
subsidiary companies for entering areas of diversification and new
markets.
These two activities were preceded by the participation of José
Luis Tapia in several projects for the financing, acquisition
and sales, analysis and investment relationship in the same publishing
group as Director of Planning and Finances.
His participation in other important publishing projects as general
manager of Vox and Credsa and managing director of Cecisa (the publishing
subsidiary of the Madrid daily, El Sol) have made him an expert in
managing growth and expansion in traditional sectors as well as in
the new Internet and multimedia sectors.
